UV Sensitivity Test

Your risk of skin cancer is related to the amount of time you spend in the sun and your skin type. To determine your risk to exposure to UV radiation, take the following test (based on a test developed by Dr. Neil Shear and published by the American Meterologolical Society.)

Do you have blond or red hair? Yes. No.
Do you have light-colored eyes (blue, green, gray)? Yes. No.
Do you freckle easily? Yes. No.
Do you have moles? Yes. No.
Have you had two or more blistering sunburns as a child? Yes. No.
As a child, did you spend lots of time in a tropical climate? Yes. No.
Is there a history of skin cancer in your family? Yes. No.
Do you work outdoors? Yes. No.
Do you spend a lot of time doing outdoor activities? Yes. No.
Do you spend as much time in the sun as you can? Yes. No.
Do you go to tanning parlors or use a sun lamp? Yes. No.
