To start an X-Windows/X-Terminal session

I have tried these instructions on Windows 95 only.  Windows 3.1 & 3.11 users proceed with caution.

Start a WiscWorld session by clicking the appropriate icon
Find the X-Win32 icon and click to open it in the background
(since this is a demo version, you can only use it in two hour increments)
Open Telnet from the WiscWorld group
In the Hostname or IP box type:
   tornado.meteor.wisc.edu
Click OK
Log onto tornado
For the next step you will need the IP address that WiscWorld just assigned to your computer.  This is different for each session you start.
Click the Start button
  Programs
   Accessories
    Dial-Up Networking
If a Welcome window pops up just hit cancel
RIGHT click once on the icon you just used to start your WiscWorld session
Click Properties
Click the Server Types tab
Click TCP/IP Settings...
Your current IP address is at the top
It should start like this:      144.92.???.???
Write it down
Cancel out of all the open Dial-Up windows
At the tornado prompt type the following:
  xterm -ls -display #####:0 &
where ##### is your IP address
hit enter
In a few moments a separate 'xterm' window should pop up already logged into tornado
You can go back to the Telnet window and close it
If it asks if you wish to disconnect from tornado click YES
It will not effect the 'xterm' window
You should now be able to do everything that you were able to do at the computer lab

HAPPY COMPUTING!!!
