Instrumentation on the ER-2
Ground-based Instrumentation
- High Spectral Resolution Lidar (HSRL) - Near-zenith viewing multi-channel lidar capable of differentiating aerosol
and molecular backscatter and depolarization. Additional channels available
for detection of multiply-scattered photons in the return signal.
- Atmospheric Emitted Radiance Interferometer (AERI) - Two band (520 - 3000 cm-1) high spectral resolution infrared radiance
interferometer (< 0.5 wavenumber unapodized), zenith viewing
- Radian CLASS Radiosonde System
- Meteorological Surface Station
