Bedka http://cimss.ssec.wisc.edu/tamdar/ Weather Conditions: Hot and sunny in the morning and early afternoon. Clouds and cooler temps in the late afternoon. Instrument Status: * Surface pressure, RH, and temperature sensors working and archiving. Anemometer has completely failed. * Ceilometer working and archiving * GPS system working and archiving Downloaded the data files from the GPS. The file naming convention of the unit seemed to have changed since TAVE-1. Data is on yak and will be transferred to SSEC. * AERI working and archiving Lots of yellow flagged housekeeping data fields, but most of them are likely due to the warm temperatures. * Radiosonde system is working and archiving 4 launches were completed today Science/Miscellaneous: 0000 UTC launch Sunny with light winds 1505 UTC launch Sunny, almost no wind, temps already in the 80s 1915 UTC launch Sunny, temps in the mid 80s 2220 UTC launch Partly cloudy, temps in low 80s Sarah picked me up at the airport this morning after an uneventful flight from Madison. AC status: the Bago's air conditioning units were off for the night. Both were started up in the morning since the day looked to be a warm one. The front unit was producing cool air even in the low setting. Air temps from the rear unit were just slightly below room temp. Both units seemed to work off and on throughout the day until the temperatures dropped in late afternoon.
