CIMSS GIMPAP Reports

The GOES Improved Measurements and Product Assurance Plan (GIMPAP) helps ensure that the opportunities offered by the GOES system for supporting NOAA's strategic mission will be realized. The GIMPAP was originally organized to assure the viability of the GOES Day-1 products. The program goals continue to improve initial products, develop advanced products, and to ensure integration of the improvements into NOAA NESDIS and NWS operations. These efforts will make the current GOES capabilities available to both public and private sector users in an efficient, effective and timely manner.
