CRAS Daily Products

Here is today's 72-hour forecast, initialized at 12 UTC on 09 Jul 08. These forecast products are produced by the CIMSS Regional Assimilation System (CRAS) model (48km resolution). The daily 00 and 12 UTC forecast results are usually available at approximately 03:00 UTC and 15:00 UTC respectively. DISCLAIMER.

CRASNOTE:

This forecast uses MODIS retrievals of total precipitable water and cloud-top pressure from the Direct Broadcast antenna at the Space Science and Engineering Center, Madison, WI. The MODIS instrument is onboard the NASA Aqua and Terra satellites. The data are assimilated in a 12-hour spinnup forecast.
