GOES-12 NOWCAST Products for the Eastern U.S.:
April 13th, 2006 Case Study
Here are the GOES-12 nowcast products from the April 13, 2006 severe weather
case. The analysis was run hourly using 900-700 hPa and 700-300 hPa integrated
water vapor retrievals from GOES-12. Vertically averaged wind and height
fields from the Rapid Update Cycle (RUC) were used as initial conditions to
project the GOES-12 retrievals forward 6 hours using dynamic Lagrangian trajectories.
Note: Analyses from the previous hour were used as the background for the current analysis.
