Driving directions to Hotel am Badersee
By car: from the airport head towards Stuttgart/Augsburg via Autobahn A92 until you come to the junction with A99. Keep heading towards Stuttgart/Augsburg on A99. Stay on A99 (and at the next junction do NOT follow Stuttgart/Augsburg anymore). At the junction with A96 follow directions München/Garmisch-Partenkirchen on A96. At the exit 39 (München-Sendling) shortly leave the Autobahn: follow the yellow signs towards Passau/Salzburg and Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Enter Autobahn A95 towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Drive the A95 until the end, and then follow the B2 direction Garmisch-Partenkirchen. After the tunnel turn right, directions Fernpaß/Reutte/Grainau. Drive straight through Garmisch, direction Grainau. After leaving Garmisch and driving on the B23, you have to turn left after about 2 km and follow the signs Eibsee/Zugspitzbahn. Go through the village, always direction Eibsee/Zugspitzbahn and after about 3 km you have to turn left again. Watch for signs "Hotel am Badersee". Total driving time is about 2 hours.
By Train: From the airport take a train to the Munich central station/city (München Hauptbahnhof). Trains run every 10 minutes. At Munich central station take a regional train to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Trains run every hour at minute 32 from tracks 27-36. The ride takes about 1,5 hours. At Garmisch-Partenkirchen railway station take the blue-white "Eibsee" bus to Grainau. Buses leave hourly at minute 14, last bus leaves at 21:14. Get off at "Badersee" – be sure to tell the bus driver where you want to go. From the Garmisch station you can also take a taxi to the hotel (price: ~20€).
By Taxi: Taxi transport from the airport to the hotel can be organized for 190€ per drive. Please contact the hotel if you have formed a group that may be interested (Tel.: +49 (0)88 218 210) and they can organize a taxi at the airport for you.
