Brazilian Electric Plug Info:
Please note that electricity in Brazil is 110 volts. The plug type is shown in the link below - both the flat and round pin plugs are used in Brazil but the flat pin is more common. We are told converters can be purchased at the airport if you forget to take one and need to use electrical equipment.

Money / ATM information:
ATM machines are located at Angra dos Reis (located 35 km away) and at the hotel itself. The hotel only has one cash withdrawal machine that will work with ATM capable cards from non-Brazilian banks and it is only available during the day. While many of the merchants (restaurants, tour operators, ...) will accept credit cards, not all will, so it is suggested that conference attendees bring an ATM capable card for withdrawing cash as well as carrying a credit card. The hotel also accepts traveler checks for exchange into local currency. Conference attendees may also wish to withdraw local currency at the airport in Rio de Janeiro prior to taking transportation to the hotel.

Registration Fee Payment -- online payment is closed!
You may now pay the registration fee by credit card on our web site. The registration fee is $120 US. You should have received an email that contains the link to your personal registration fee payment form. The deadline for payment is 21 April 2008. If you do not pay the registration fee by credit card by 21 April, you will need to pay the registration fee when you arrive at the conference. However, you will only be able to pay in cash in Brazilian Real - the fee will be 220 Real.

Hotel Accommodation -- Reservations
It is now time to start thinking about making a hotel reservation for ITSC-16. Below are links to 2 reservation forms (PDF format) -- one for attendees who would like a hotel room and one for attendees who will share a house (attendees sharing a house will complete and submit one reservation form). Please complete and submit only one form! Completed forms should be submitted either to the fax number or email address at the bottom of the form.
