IHOP AERI-bago Daily Summary

Date: 2 June 2002 CST (Sunday)
Location: UW-Madison CIMSS/SSEC

Weather Conditions:
Clear. Hot. Record high temps again near 100 F. Warm SW winds around 10-20.  mph.  Cold front approaching from NW with thunderstorms firing in western KS.

Instrument Status:
Stirling cooler is behaving itself and the AERI data looks good.  http://scooby.ssec.wisc.edu/AERI-BAGO

Science:
DC-8 Flew a LLJ mission last night over homestead site. CI mission was called for afternoon to north around dryline in western Kansas, otherwise a good boundary layer day at homestead.

Miscellaneous:
AERIbago is running unattended.  Raman Lidar personnel (Belay Demoz and Dave Whiteman) providing
emergency support if needed.  Bob Knuteson and Ralph Dedecker are supporting the S-HIS and NAST-I
in OKC and can respond within six hours if AERI needs attendance.
