-----------------------
AERI-bago Daily Summary
-----------------------

Date: 15 May 2002 CST (Wednesday)
Location: Homestead Site, IHOP
Operator: Tobin

Weather Conditions:

Mostly clear again, but with more clouds in the a.m. Hotter today with a high around 85F.
Strong steady winds from the south again. Low pressure system approaching from the
north east in the late afternoon. Thunderstorms moving east and passing to the north.

Instrument Status:

AERI and weather station operating well. I am concerned about the AERI chimney and
weather station with the strong winds.

Setting up the GPS was on my list for today, but it didn't happen ... tomorrow.

Science:

No real IHOP science today. Some practice mobile unit runs and a practice dropsonde
over the Homestead site at ~6-8pm. The 3 Homestead lidars: GLOW is operational, and SRL
and HARLIE are setting up today.

Miscellaneous:

The outside network connection was restored today with a new fiber optic line. The
new set up has our line going to the SRL trailer, into a converter, into their hub, into
another converter, and then on to the ISS trailer. The T1 line to S-Pol was done part
 of the afternoon.
