NOTE: On April 26, 2010, GOES-12 began drifting east towards a destination longitude of 60W, where the satellite was to assume station as the GOES-South America satellite. GOES-South America schedules began on May 10, 2010. Throughout the South American deployment, GOES-12 Imager and Sounder data will be ingested by the SSEC Data Center in support of the Earth Observation Partnership of the Americas (EOPA) project--now being called GEOSS Americas.
