The correction to use the GOES-9 noise numbers (instead of the GOES-8 numbers) made only a very slight change in the GOES retrievals of temperature and moisture.
For example, the Root-Mean-Square-Error was only 0.06 mm for over 2200 comparisons (with a bias of zero).
