This document pertains to the daily CIMSS Retrievals-Clouds Archive (CRCA), a collection
of (formerly) online files that contains several years of GOES temperature/moisture, cloud retrieval, etc  
data processed on various CIMSS workstations.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  On 02Mar2020, GOES-15 was deactivated (see:  https://www.ospo.noaa.gov/Operations/GOES/16/transition.html
                 and https://cimss.ssec.wisc.edu/satellite-blog/archives/35844).  As of that date, the last of the operational
                 GOES Sounder instruments became deactivated.  Data from the GOES Sounder instruments was the primary 
                 instrument whose data was used to generate the products seen over the years at:  http://cimss.ssec.wisc.edu/goes/rt/
                 Furthermore, all of the disk storage being used to serve this data at:  http://rets7.ssec.wisc.edu/crc/
                 is in the process of being deactivated, due to several factors.

                 A number of years of the imagery and products seen at http://cimss.ssec.wisc.edu/goes/rt/ 
                 (from 01Jan2014 until 02Mar2020) remain on disk here at CIMSS.  Although this data is not available via the Web,
                 it is still possible to get this data by contacting CIMSS personnel.  The data is stored in large tarfiles,
                 one tarfile per day, and it is fairly easy for CIMSS personnel to access the data and make it available for outside 
                 interests via the SSEC (Space Science and Engineering Center) anonymous ftp server here at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
