This series of true-color image composites from Terra MODIS shows the change in vegetation color (from primarily greens to vivid autumnal colors) across Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan during 9 separate days in early to mid-October 2003. A side-by-side image comparison is available from the NWS Milwaukee/Sullivan, and larger 250-meter resolution images from 06 and 10 October are also available on the SSEC MODIS Image Gallery. These MODIS images were acquired and processed by the SSEC MODIS Direct Broadcast ground station.
