Smoke from fires appears hazy in the visible image, and is color-enhanced according to the albedo in the smoke product. The milky haze apparent in the visible image over the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of northeastern Brazil is due to sun glint.

Convection over northeastern Argentina produced rain that appeared blue in color, due to the large amount of airborne ash and smoke particulate that was scavenged by the precipitation.
