MB Enhancement Curve
(this 22-image Java animation sequence will take a minute or two to load...)
The MB enhancement curve is designed to define cold cloud top regions of convective systems, and is used for producing quantitative precipitation estimates. The first four enhancement levels are: -32 to -41 C (light blue), -42 to -52 C (thistle), -53 to -58 C (dark blue), -59 to -62 C (red). The coldest gray shades represent overshooting convective cloud tops.
