This loop of GOES-8 Wildfire Automated Biomass Burning Algorithm (ABBA) Composite imagery shows smoke and detected fires over Idaho and Montana on 14 August 2000. Smoke plumes are visible from several fires that were detected by the algorithm. Fires are classified by the ABBA.
