This loop of GOES Sounder total precipitable water (PW) shows the increasing moisture across eastern Texas on 28 March 2000. PW values over northcentral and northeastern Texas increased from less than 20 mm (blue enhancement) early in the day to greater than 40 mm (red enhancement) prior to the development of severe convection.
