The biomass burning products displayed on this web site were developed and produced at the Cooperative Institute for Meteorological Satellite Studies (CIMSS) at the Space Science Engineering Center (SSEC) at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Since the 1990s support has come from the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Environmental Satellite, Data and Information Service (NESDIS) Center for Satellite Applications and Research (STAR), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWAR), San Diego, CA, and the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL), Monterey, CA.
