Severe thunderstorms developed across southern Idaho during the afternoon and early evening hours on 07 April 2018 — GOES-16 (GOES-East) “Red” Visible (0.64 µm) and “Clean” Infrared Window (10.3 µm) images (above) include SPC storm reports.

Lightning (and/or large hail) in the Idaho Falls (KIDA) area was apparently responsible for killing over 50 migrating geese (media report).
