Weather observation photographs were taken on board the Discoverer approximately hourly during daylight for the entire cruise. Such photos (similar to that at right) consist of a shot over the port side of the ship, through a 28mm (wide-angle) lens. In addition, a large number of general interest photographs are available.
Photographs were originally made on 35 mm print film; negatives were then scanned onto Kodak PhotoCD. Each image on disc is approximately 4MB, and as there are some 470 photos, we have not stored the set on a local hard disc.
Those interested can view the Complete Photo Catalog.
To order general photographs, use the Alternative Order Form after browsing the catalog.
