AERI-bago Daily Summary
-------------------------

Date: 25 Jul 2002 (Thursday)
Location: Everglades City, Florida
Operator: Jason Brunner

Weather Conditions:
There was scattered cumulus and cirrus in the morning. By 19:08 UT
there was cumulonimbus to the east and southeast of the western site.
An anvil was also overhead. At 19:35 UT thunder was heard and by 20:03
UT a thunderstorm had developed to the northeast (lightning was
observed). It sprinkled a little at 20:41 UT but not enough to close
the hatch. In the early evening, thunderstorms were north and east of
the western site. There was some mammatus seen to the northeast. There
were also anvils overhead.

Instrument Status:
The AERI is working good. Besides the hatch not closing when it
sprinkled, there are no problems to report at this time. I will keep an
eye on the hatch.

Science:
All of the planes except the Proteus flew today. They were looking at
maritime convection. The Citation was the only plane confirmed to
overpass the western site. It began overpasses at 17:35 UT. The P-3
was also flying near the western site, but I am not sure if it made an
overpass.
