AERI-bago Daily Summary
-----------------------

Date: 16 July 2002 (Monday)
Location: Everglades City, Florida
Operator: Bob Holz

Weather Conditions:
Clear in the morning with temperatures in the 80's.
18:20(UT) An anvil was visible to the east of the site. Cumulous started
to form.
18:35(UT) An anvil was visible over the Bago. There where scattered low
cumulous overhead.
20:36(UT) Cirrus (Anvil) overhead with scattered cumulous over the site.

21:08(UT) Cirrus.
23:00(UT) A few rain drops visible on the Bago windshield but not enough
rain to trigger the hatch.

Instrument Status:
The hatch worked all night with no problems. The RH indicator showed the
AERI was supersaturated late last night and early this morning. The
outside RH was very high all night. AERI took data all day with no
problems. I checked the hatch APU to see if it could close the hatch and
it worked. The battery must not have been completely charged last night.
I will keep an eye on it. Thanks again to Connor who helped with the
hatch problem.

Science:
All aircraft where flying today. Scheduled departure time was 2:00 pm
local. I do not know what flight tracks where flown. I did see very high
contrails during the afternoon. Looked like either the ER2 or B57.
