Additional hotels in Madison
The Hilton DoubleTree Inn (see below) is about 5 short blocks away from the SSEC building and not too far from the convention center where the AMS meeting will be held (about a 15 to 20 minute walk). In other words, it is in a central location.
The list of hotels below is split this into three groups - one group that is close (a few blocks), one that is within a "good" walking distance, and one that requires a car. This list is not meant to be all-inclusive. As a general rule, all Madison hotels seem to have a free shuttle service for the airport, and the bus service in town is pretty good, so a car is not absolutely required! Check with the hotel to find out if they will provide shuttle service to the Monona Terrace Convention Center.
