Following based on year-long 2013 MODIS/CALIOP collocated data:
Updated SZA-dependent 0.86 µm test for oceans
Added SZA-dependent 1.38 µm test for oceans
Updated 11-3.9 µm BTD test thresholds as functions of TPW for nighttime ocean and land
Performed another round of general thresholds tuning for VIIRS processing

Adjusted sun-glint thresholds for both Aqua MODIS and VIIRS
Implemented turbid water clear sky restoral test based on Chen and Zhang (2015)
Modified/tested NDSI snow detection algorithm using method of Klein, Hall, and Riggs (1998) in forested regions; separate NDSI thresholds added for Greenland  
Modified Aqua MODIS and VIIRS nighttime land and snow/ice tests and thresholds to eliminate discontinuities across 60N latitude

Changes were tested on four complete days from 2013 data:

Further testing will be performed by comparing against collocated CALIOP cloud detection data for the year 2013.
